Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services
A residence status used for occupations related to a major studied at university or vocational school—engineers, accountants, marketing, interpreter/translator, sales. Japanese language requirement (N2 equivalent) was added from 2026.

A residence status used in 16 fields with severe labor shortages—nursing care, construction, food service, lodging, manufacturing, logistics. Type 1 is up to 5 years cumulative; Type 2 is renewable with family eligible. Coordination with a registered support organization is required.

A new residence status scheduled for implementation as the successor to the Technical Intern Training program. Designed to develop unskilled foreign workers to skilled level in up to 3 years and connect to Specified Skilled Worker Type 1. Document preparation & application
We prepare employment contracts, reason letters, and corporate certification documents, and create application documents for Certificate of Eligibility (COE), status change, or period extension.
Review response
If Immigration requests additional materials, we handle hearings and document preparation on your behalf. We report on the situation during the review period as needed.
Approval
We support receipt of the approval notice, residence card pickup procedures, and notifications at the time of joining the company.

In case of denial

A. Progressive discounts are available for simultaneous applications of 5 or more people. For large-scale hiring of 10 or more people, please consult on unit prices separately. Joining a retainer agreement qualifies you for application fee discounts (discount rate is custom quoted).
Q. How long does the review take?+
A. COE: 1-3 months, Change: 2 weeks - 2 months, Extension: 2 weeks - 1 month as a guideline. It varies by region, season, and case complexity. Accurate estimates are provided per case.
Q. What about fees in case of denial?+
A. In case of denial, we rewrite the reason letter and handle re-application free of charge (conditions specified in the pricing page and contract).
Q. We are based in Chiba—can you serve companies in other regions?+
A. Residence status applications can be handled online, so we accept requests from companies nationwide. Meetings are held via Zoom.
